Ndambarare Waterfall is one of the most popular and accessible waterfalls in Nyungwe. The trail starts near the Gisakura visitor area and takes about 3–4 hours round trip, covering approximately 9–10 km.
The hike is moderate, making it suitable for travelers who enjoy adventure but do not want a very steep climb. Along the way, hikers pass through thick rainforest, small streams, and beautiful viewpoints.
The waterfall itself is not extremely tall, but it is very scenic and peaceful perfect for photography and nature lovers.
Isumo Waterfall – Scenic and Adventurous
Isumo Waterfall is Located along the famous Isumo Trail, this waterfall is surrounded by rolling hills and dense rainforest. The trail takes around 4 hours and is considered one of the most scenic hikes in Nyungwe.
Visitors often see primates, birds, and butterflies along the way. The path passes through valleys and forest clearings before reaching the waterfall hidden in the greenery.
