Next, travel to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Enjoy mountain views, local culture, and time to rest before the main highlight of the tour.

The tour ends with gorilla trekking, spending one unforgettable hour with a gorilla family in their natural forest home. After the trek, return to Kigali for departure.

We had an amazing boat tour on Lake Kivu with Visit Lake Kivu Tour. Even though we booked at the last minute, the manager was incredibly kind and accommodating. He quickly arranged everything for us and even found a French-speaking guide, which made the experience even better.

Our guide was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and never in a rush. He took the time to explain everything and made sure we fully enjoyed every stop. We visited Nyenyeri Island to see the monkeys, cruised around Amahoro Island, discovered the plantations on another island, hiked to the top of Napoleon Island to see the famous fruit bats, and even watched the swimming cows. We also had plenty of time to swim in the beautiful waters of Lake Kivu.
