The Tour du Rwanda 2026 will be one of Africa’s most important international cycling events. Classified as a UCI 2.1 race, the tour will take place from February 22 to March 1, 2026. It will cover 993 kilometers across 8 demanding stages, with a total elevation gain of more than 16,608 meters, confirming Rwanda’s reputation as a destination for tough, mountainous racing.
With 18 international teams,including new teams from Europe and South America expected to compete, the race will attract global attention from cycling fans, media, and sports professionals. The 2026 edition will combine high-altitude challenges, scenic landscapes, and vibrant host cities, ending with a dramatic finish in Kigali.

•Stage 7: Musanze – Kigali (147 km)

One of the standout moments will be Stage 5, a full circuit in Rubavu, offering fans close-up action along Lake Kivu. The tour will conclude with a high-energy final stage in Kigali, highlighting Rwanda’s modern capital and strong cycling culture.
