What You Will Do and When
Day 1 – Lake Kivu Cruise and Coffee Experience
6:00 AM – Depart from Kigali
Start your journey with a scenic drive from Kigali to Kibuye through Rwanda’s green hills and local villages
9:30 AM – Arrive in Kibuye
Meet your boat guide and prepare for the island adventure
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Lake Kivu Boat Tour
Napoleon Island – Take a short hike and enjoy panoramic views. Discover a large colony of fruit bats
Peace Island – A calm island for swimming and relaxation
Star Island – Watch velvet monkeys in the trees and enjoy birdwatching
Swimming Cow Area – Visit the lakeside spot where cows swim across the lake — a unique local tradition
Fishing Villages & Harbor – Pass by local fishing communities and see traditional wooden boats
1:15 PM – 2:15 PM – Lakeside Lunch
