About Us
Go Lake Kivu Adventure Ltd through Visit Lake Kivu initiative;offers complete and immersive experiences that showcase the real beauty of Lake Kivu and the Congo Nile Trail. We help visitors enjoy nature, culture, and adventure with professional local guides.
In addition, we also assist with private transfers, trips to national parks, Cultural tours & birdwatching experiences for guests who want to explore more of Rwanda with us.
We are committed to conservation of Lake Kivu through islands, shoreline clean-up activities & awareness campaign while supporting local communities by promoting their artworks and contributing to basic needs such as community health insurance (Ubwisungane mu Kwivuza).
Booking & Payment
- A 50% deposit is required to confirm any booking
- The remaining balance can be paid before or after the tour, as agreed
- Bookings should be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- We receive last minute bookings but maybe subject to availability.
- Our prices are set in USD & per group 1-3Pax , 4-8 Pax. Our experiences are available for big group. (for local & International)
- For the payment made in Rwf we refer to the current exchange rates.
- Payments made online will include an additional 5% transaction fee

Cancellation & Refund policy
- More than 48 hours before activity: Full refund
- Within 24 hours : 50% refund
- Less than 24 hours / No-show: No refund
- For any refund processed, a 20% service fee will be deducted
Weather Conditions
- All activities depend on weather and safety conditions
- If conditions are not safe, the trip may be rescheduled or adjusted
Safety
- Life jackets are provided and must be worn during boat trips
- During the hiking adventures the visitors will be given hiking sticks
- Guests must follow all instructions from the guide or captain
NB: All of our tours are guided when you choose non guided one all risks upon you.

- Guests must behave respectfully and responsibly
- Respect the environment, equipment, and other people
- Any damage caused may result in extra charges
Children & Special Requests
- Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult
- Please inform us in advance of any special needs or requests
- Children under 3years old travel for free
